Gareth Ainsworth told KentOnline that, after the 4-1 home defeat by Grimsby Town, he has to question whether some of his players can still reach League Two level. He said he does not want a long-ball side but may need to sign players who can stop Gillingham being bullied.

The Gills have slipped from fourth to 12th. Zane Albarus and Will Goodwin are reported to be close to returning from injury. Gillingham go to Shrewsbury on Saturday.
