Punjab United 2-1 Herne Bay: two long-throw goals settle it
Herne Bay drop to 12th, three points off the play-off places.
Lea Dawson, unmarked, scored from a long throw on 18 minutes, and Roman Campbell turned in another long throw on 34. Ade Azeez pulled one back just before half-time, running onto a long clearance and beating the keeper.
New signing Jaden Brissett played for Herne Bay. The club report says Josh Ajayi's 72nd-minute penalty appeal was waved away, and Tom Wray made a double save on 83 minutes.
The result ended Herne Bay's four-game unbeaten run and the two sides swapped places in the table. Herne Bay are at home to Sevenoaks Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
