Sheppey 3-0 Ramsgate: debut goal for Sotoyinbo
The new signing scores on the day he joined as Sheppey see off Ramsgate in the Velocity Trophy at a rain-soaked Holm Park.
Ollie Sotoyinbo signed for Sheppey United on Tuesday. By the evening he was on the scoresheet in a 3-0 Velocity Trophy win over Ramsgate.
In heavy rain at Holm Park, Williams broke the deadlock on 34 minutes with a low shot at the back post.
Two minutes before the break, trickery down the right set up Sotoyinbo for a tap-in at the back post, and Sheppey went in 2-0 up.
Ramsgate's Lewis forced saves, but the visitors could not find a way back. Substitute Godden settled it on 79 minutes with a heavily deflected shot from the edge of the box.
190 braved the weather.
