Maxwell proud of Welling's best home record in the country
Nine wins from nine at Park View Road in the Isthmian Premier this season.
Welling United manager Ryan Maxwell says his side have the best home record in the country, from the Premier League down to their level.
The Wings made it nine wins out of nine at home in the Isthmian Premier with a 4-0 win over Carshalton on Saturday. Lekan Majoyegbe, Sam Smith, Demaray Anyadike and Nahum Melvin-Lambert scored, and the home form has helped them to second in the table.
“We don’t have the biggest budget, and that’s something I accept, but the players are performing extremely well,” Maxwell told KentOnline. “If we were to get this club promoted, it would be a phenomenal achievement, but it’s one that we can achieve.”
Welling are at Cray Valley PM in the London Senior Cup second round tonight.
